So, I love He is We so much. They're original and different and so great. If you haven't heard of them yet, you just have to listen to one song, and I swear you'll be hooked. I love them! Here is one of their newer songs from their recently released EP album, Skip to the Good Part.
So, take a listen. Leave a comment, telling me what you think, or recommend a new artist for me to check out.

'Mazin Music Sundays . . . LADY ANTEBELLUM
So, while I wait for my homework to download to my computer (why are all of my teachers so internet-obsessed these days?) I decided I should at least keep up this daily bit of music for all of you.
This song is called 'Dancin' Away With My Heart by the wonderful Lady Antebellum. It's a song of young love and the one who got away, or at least that's how I saw it. It's such a sweet song, and from such a great, new album.
Go buy yourself their newest album, Own the Night, and listen to the other wonderful songs! Hope you all have a good week, and I'll see you next weekend when the smoke clears!

I'm still alive . . . somewhat
High school is tiring. It's that tired that clings to your eyelids from the second you wake up to the moment you lay your head down that night. With my alarm clock going off at six every morning and volleyball ending at five, it's a long, nonstop eleven hours in between. Then there's homework, dinner and of course, I've got to socialize with my family at the very least.

It's not all bad, though, I guess. I feel a lot more freedom in high school than I did previous years. It's just a long day, you know? You can feel the past changing and the future looming ahead a lot more. People change, and so does life. It's one of those things that happened to sneak up on me.
This post is mainly to let you guys know that I won't be posting as often. I'm really sorry, but it's just not possible. Once things calm down, I'll be back to my usual schedule and I'll make sure to get my "Dear Friend" letter up and going and keep the "Mazin' Music Sundays" alive!
For now, you can expect a post per week, at best. Comment on my posts to let me know you care if you read this, by the way! I'd love support from fellow high-school go-ers. Until next week, though, I must say ciao!

By the way, check out Lady Antebellum's newest album "Own the Night"! My personal favorite off the album is "Cold as Stone", especially the musical bit at the end!

I'm back!
I realized today that I've been missing since August 27 . . . so sorry about that guys! I started high school on the sixth of September and it's been a whirlwind week since then. In my four days of school, I managed to get only one late so far! I'm hoping that's an achievement on my part.
So, today is September 11. I'm sure that, wherever you are, whoever you may be, you know what happened on this day ten years ago. A terrorist attack on the United States led to the falling of the World Trade Center (Twin Towers) and ended so many lives too soon. Even in those moments of sorrow, our country came together to save those that were still breathing, mourn for those who weren't.

When I see videos of the towers collapsing and burning, my heart breaks. Those tiny dots you see hurtling out of windows and to the ground below? God, it's just so, so sad.
We all have different views on 9/11. Maybe you lost someone, maybe you didn't. I didn't lose anyone I knew, but I was only in kindergarten. What about you? Where were you the day the Earth stood still?
While you dwell on the past for just a few moments, here's a favorite song of mine by the wonderful Toby Keith.

'Mazin Music Sundays . . . HUNTER HAYES
Listen to the boy who's currently on tour with Taylor Swift. He can play over thirty instruments, started performing at age four and has the cutest songs.
If you like him, go buy his four songs on iTunes! He really deserves any fame and publicity he can get. He's so sweet!

WE THE KINGS =D
Yep, I'm a shameless fan-girl. Bite me.Or, you know, please don't. I don't like to be bitten by strangers. Rabies scare me.
Anyway, the title of my blog post is due to the fact that I am going to see We The Kings, Hot Chelle Rae, Downtown Fiction and a few other bands in concert tonight with two of my friends. I'm super excited.
So, I'm going to the concert, yadda yadda ya. I decided that even though it's a Thursday, I'll post a music video for you. This way you can see the band that I love so much! Here is We The King's song, Skyway Avenue.
So, that's all for now. I better go get ready for tonight! Have a great Thursday night and Friday, guys!

'Mazing Music SUNDAYS
I've noticed a lot of bloggers do "Music Mondays" . . . Well, that's all fine and dandy, but I'd like to be different and do 'Mazing Music Sundays for all of you.
My reasons:
~Sunday's supposed to be a day of rest in some religions, so what better way to rest than to listen to some music?
~You can listen to music all throughout the week that you found here!
~Mondays are busy for me.
So there you have it. I'll post the music video (or a fan made video if there isn't an official video) and you can hear new music. This week's song is 'Before I Let You Go' from Colbie Caillat's newest album, All of You.
It's a really cute song, and it made me smile because I've felt this way about different guys. I'm sure you can relate to it somehow.
Well, I'm off to bandage up my toe, seeing as I just tripped and messed my nail up pretty good >.< Adios, bloggers!

Inkpop's back . . .
So, the site came back on Thursday, and I have to say I'm disappointed. There's still a lot of glitches, and it's chaos. I had all of my books written chapter by chapter for the original inkpop, and now, you're supposed to post the whole book so I have to go and copy and paste all of my chapters into a single document. It kinda sucks.
On the optimistic note, I graduated eighth grade last night, and it was great!! I finished reading Delirium by Lauren Oliver, and it was fantastic! I'll do a review soon, but probably not today. It is my first day of summer vacation, you know.
Now, for a rising music artist who I totally just fell in love with . . .
Make sure to pause the piano music that's playing for my page. I'm pretty sure the icon is in the top right corner. Love ya!

The Last Little Blue Envelope

"This car is like a bank vault. No one can get in."
"I once opened the door with a pen. Just a little flick of the Biro and . . . pop! Door open."
Those of you who have been following along with me know that I was waiting for my copy of 'The Last Little Blue Envelope' to be delivered. Well, it came in the mail and I read it in two days. That quote up there is one of my many humorous ones from the book, and if I could find the book (I passed out last night when I finished it; it was nearly two in the morning) I would quote more.
On with the review, though.
Ginny Blackstone thought that the biggest adventure of her life was behind her. She spent last summer traveling around Europe, following the tasks her aunt Peg laid out in a series of letters before she died. When someone stole Ginny's backpack—and the last little blue envelope inside—she resigned herself to never knowing how it was supposed to end.
Months later, a mysterious boy contacts Ginny from London, saying he's found her bag. Finally, Ginny can finish what she started. But instead of ending her journey, the last letter starts a new adventure—one filled with old friends, new loves, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Ginny finds she must hold on to her wits . . . and her heart. This time, there are no instructions.

Characters: Once again, Ginny is the perfect narrator. She has a quirky, nervous feel to her that makes you want to be her friend and support her, simply because you know she has such potential and confidence that's hidden underneath. In this book, Ginny returns to London and surprises Keith, the actor from her last trip. This time around, I found Keith to be a little more rude than I would've liked, but he was such a realistic character. Ginny meets Oliver, who I just couldn't help but picturing as some kind of Batman, with his "dashing" appearance.
Plot/storyline: There was the romance between Keith and Ginny, but not in the way you'd expect. Keith's girlfriend Ellis comes along with Ginny, Keith and Oliver on their trip to fill the last letter's orders. I loved how Ginny's view on people and things changed through this story, because in the end, that was really important. It was a great story, much like the first book.
Overall: I loved this book. It made me laugh so hard I just had to repeat the lines aloud. It made me cry and mutter under my breath. It made me smile and just sit there for a few minutes after it ended.
Go buy it, if you haven't yet! This book is definitely one of my favorites! By the way, do you guys like the music and the little guy who stalks you on the side? ;)

InkieNoWriSum :D
See that jumble of letters? That's for Inkie Novel Writing Summer which will be like National Novel Writing Month, but we're gonna take the whole summer to write a project or continue one. My goal is to start 'Behind That Broken Smile' (the sequel to 'Behind These Amber Eyes') and get it up to at least 60,000 words.
InkieNoWriSum will go from June 14 to August 18, so I'm hoping for a good novel at the end of it. I know some of my followers aren't inkpop users, but that shouldn't stop you from setting your own goals this summer.
Want to write a novel? Do it.
Want to write a book of poetry? Do it.
Want to jump off a cliff? Do not - I repeat do NOT - do it!
So, that's the jist of my summer plans. I hope to finish up 'Your Name Was Joey' before June 14, but I won't mind working on it this summer if I must. :]
In the world of the media, here's my personal items on the agenda these days.
Currently Reading: Generation Dead
Currently Listening to: Joey by Sugarland, She Will Be Loved and Never Gonna Leave This Bed by Maroon 5
Currently Watching: Desperate Housewives finale tonight, Secret Life and Make It or Break It tomorrow night
So, there you have it, bloggers. I think I'll go make an icon for InkieNoWriSum :)

Today was a fairytale . . .

So, I totally love Taylor Swift, in case you weren't aware. I'm even going to her concert in August!! Can't wait!
Anyway, I'm a little bored. Inkpop's down for maintenance apparently. The website's all locked up right now. I'm wondering if it'll be a few hours or days before it's back up. I'm already bored! Hopefully, there'll be some evident changes on the site if they had to close it down. If there's any other inkies out there who know anything or have any idea what's going on, feel free to comment or email me at ashley2055@gmail.com I promise I won't stalk you! (or bite!)
I promised you guys a book review for the Lightning Thief, and you'll get it. I just need to type it up. Feel free to look around the blog; check out the writing prompts!
And for those of you, thinking about my personal life, wondering why today was a fairy tale . . . I'll just say it started with a puffin. ;]
